Because of the joy flowers bring...

I am a home gardener who has found joy in growing flowers in our post-pandemic world. And an even greater joy in sharing beautiful blooms with others. 

​

Not only do I love to give away flowers, but also to encourage others to experience flowers. Inviting people to the lake to make bouquets, going to seniors to hold free classes, giving away tubers and plants, or accepting a hand from those who offer to be in the garden with me. This winter I have been able to share my flowers in dried and pressed flower crafts with both seniors and youngsters.

One of my mottos is: No Wasted Blooms

Drying, pressing, gifting, inviting -- all sorts of ways to keep from wasting blooms and the beauty they bring into life.

​

I am amazed at the connections flowers can foster between people. I enjoy connecting with flower fans of all kinds. And I can't wait to load an extra-wide wheelchair with flowers and see the smiles as walk around the Mayo lobby again! 

​
