The cycle of seasons in nature gives me pause to think of the seasons in our lives as well. The new hopes, dreams, expectations growing in our hearts.
Winter Sowing Update
Four types of plants are beginning to spring into life in my winter sowing boxes. On the warm afternoons recently I take off the lids and peer in search for new growth and give a spritz of water, if needed. I let in the outside for a few hours then close the mini-greenhouses back up for the night.
Ranunculus & Anemones
Say those names fast a few times!!
The ranunculus and anemones I began pre-sprouting in February are ready to plant into 3 1/2" pots. Most have rootlets and even a sprout peeking out. What a joy to head outside on an unusually warm day with my supplies and nestle the corms into pots to grown until mid-April's planting time.
