For those of you with no garden space, the good news is that dahlias can be very happily grown in large pots on a balcony, patio, or in the yard.
They key thing to know is --- use really big pots!
5+ gallon containers are best. Even the shorter dahlias need some type of support to stay upright - a stake or cage. And just like in the garden, dahlias need at least 6 hours of full sun and good drainage.
I've attached a list of a few of my shorter dahlias with extra tubers.
I've found dahlia experts' advice to share with you.
